Journal Club

Every Monday, the lab is having a Journal Club held in the conference room at 11:30am. Please join! The list of the [:Journal Club Suggested Topics:suggested topics] is also available.

The Journal club takes place on Monday every week, start at 11:30am and last about an hour. The suggestions are:

  • have the talk first, then the questions/discussions. It will help keeping the JC within an hour, and focus the discussion by letting people think about their questions. In case we have more questions than can be managed before the end of the hour, we can continue the discussions over lunch.
  • good article sources:
  • ideally, having a last slide with answers to the question 'What did it bring to this research field?' and 'Why did you think it was interesting?' (plus, maybe, 'Why have you been disappointed by this paper?') would provide a nice take-home message
